The Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival annually welcomes over 500 boys and girls teams from across the US and Canada. This is the largest single-site lacrosse event in the country! Held annually at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, a location renowned for its stunning beauty, the festival spans over 1,000 acres and features more than 80 meticulously arranged fields.

Amber Falcone Mckenzie

Amber is a heavily decorated lacrosse coach who has an extensive resume playing at the highest level. Co-Chairperson of Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse’s Player Executive Committee

Three-time AAC performer for the Tar Heels

international Experience: Helped Team USA win Gold medal at 2009 and 2013 World Cup events … member of 2009 and 2013 All-World Teams while guiding United States to combined 14-0 record.

Other Professional Experience: Played for New England Command during 2018 Women’s Professional Lacrosse League season … served as an assistant coach for the New England Command in 2019 while pregnant with her second child.

At North Carolina: Three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer for the Tar Heels who played from 2006-09 … appeared in 81 career games … scored nine career goals, including six as a freshman, with 13 assists … accumulated 157 ground balls, including 56 during her senior season … consensus National Defender of the Year as a senior … member of 2009 NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team … finalist for Tewaaraton and Honda Awards as a senior … one of three players in North Carolina history to earn IWLCA All-America honors four times … led Tar Heels to NCAA Championship Game appearance in 2009.
